Why do you go away? So that you can come back. So that you can see the place you came from with new eyes and extra colours. And the people there see you differently, too. Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving.                 /T. Pratchett, A Hat Full of Sky, p. 349/

What is Your Centre?

After watching Rise of the Guardians [imdb], I came away slightly pensive and highly spirited. A nice conversation to break the ice, excuse the pun.

What do you see?
- You have big eyes?
- Yes! Big eyes! Very big, because they are full of wonder.
That is my centre. It is what I was born with: eyes that have always seen wonder in everything!
Eyes that see lights in the trees,
the magic in the air,

this wonder is what I put into the world!

And what I protect in children - it is what makes me a guardian.

It is my centre. What is yours?
Jack Frost and North. The Rise of the Guardians

Is it pretentious to think I am North? I find myself thinking along the same lines.
What is your center?

Back in Ghost Town

Landry a.k.a.

Aaah. No, pa vseeno: grem probat srečo s sanjami. Včeri sem spet d best sanjal - neki z vitezi in konji in celo (srednjeveško) odisejado skorej.

Nimajo nobenga odnosa do maja...

Tko, v smislu dveh majc, puloverja in softshell-a. Maja!

Ti Nizozemci sploh nimajo odnosa do Maja.

Holland --> the Netherlands

Iz članka na Wikipediji:
The Netherlands in its entirety is often referred to as Holland, although North and South Holland are actually only two of its twelve provinces (a case of pars pro toto; see terminology of "the Netherlands").

Re: Kako pa tebi kaže kej v nedhlandh?

Tle je kar kul, všeč mi je vreme (in to ni sarkazem). Kul je, ker se vsi furajo s kolesi, ne glede na to, kako je fizikalno stanje (oz. spreminjanje stanja) okolja - pri minus 5, plus 10, 20, dež, sneg, megla, drizzle, you name it.

Univerza je hecna - v dobrem smislu. Hecno upiljeno profesionalna.

Pravo malo roza-zeleno kraljestvo (don't ask).

Več pa naslednjič, eh?

Lp, in fajn bodi tam dol,
A

Antony And The Johnsons

After spending a fortnight in The Netherlands, I am finally having a nice, relaxing weekend. Coming back to Groningen is always nice. En effet, coming to any city you feel a "tingle for", is nice. And unless you've experienced some crazy sh***, you always feel something for the city/place you spent your Erasmus student exchange in.

So, when begining this blog in ole September 2010, I had this idea to change the name of it, whenever I travel extensively. Louis and The Primers was the first thing that flashed out at the begining of my Erasmus experience and well, just this weekend, I've had an unintended suggestion for a new name.

Thus, I give you: Antony and the Johnsons, which is, by the way, a really nice band.
See this: Fistful of love (jazz/rock) and this: Hope there's someone (niiice).

Thank you, R.!
